Grad Ads

Creating your Grad Ad

1. Choose a size

Choose an advertisement layout size:

Full Page 7 7/8 in x 10 3/8 in (Vertical)
Half Page 7 7/8 in x 5 1/8 in (Horizontal)
Quarter Page 3 7/8 in x 5 1/8 in (Vertical)
Eighth Page 2 1/2 in x 3 7/8 in (Horizontal)

If you would like us to digitally create your ad, please proceed to #2.
If you would prefer to create your ad yourself and submit the completed layout in print-ready format, please proceed to #3.

2. Please create my ad

On a sheet of white paper, include the following information being as detailed as possible.

a) Hand write the exact words in the approximate location you want printed.
b) If you have a preference for a font, tell us the font name and color you would like. Include examples if you don’t know the name of the font. (Some fonts may be substituted with similar styles.)
c) Draw boxes to represent the location of your pictures/images. Number the boxes and then number the back of the picture/image so that the picture/image corresponds with the box you want it in. (Photos do not need to be cut to size or shape; as long as the desired shape and size are drawn out, we will crop in the computer.)
d) If desired, tell us a color, pattern, or supply a picture/image for the background.
e) Proceed to #4.

3. I will create the ad myself

a) Double-check your layout size.
b) Layouts in hardcopy format will be scanned as is.
c) Layouts in electronic format must follow these guidelines:

Photo Resolutions: 400 dpi.
File Formats (in order of preference):
Adobe PDF
Photoshop (.psd)

Submit electronic layout, including all necessary fonts, by email to (preferred), or on a flash drive or CD on or before November 17, 2017.

We HIGHLY recommend saving the final file as a PDF to ensure proper dimensions and quality. DO NOT submit your design as a spreadsheet (Excel) or word processing (Word) document. Your design will get messed up and we will be unable to fix it.

If applicable, digital proofs will be emailed on or before December 14, 2017. Any revisions that need to be made must be made known to the yearbook staff by January 5, 2017.

6. If you would like to have your original prints/hardcopy files returned, they should be submitted in a self-addressed envelope. All envelopes will be available for pickup at the office after Christmas Break, or will be mailed to you if indicated. All unaddressed envelopes will be thrown away.

7. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your Grad Ad, please do not hesitate to personally contact our Yearbook Editors-in-Chief or Adviser (Mrs. Lynn Delinger) by email at

Grad Ad Videos

Yearbook videos are included throughout our yearbook through the use of an app called “Aurasma” that play linked videos when scanned. If you choose to purchase the video add-on, your video will be indicated on your child’s ad by the inclusion of the video symbol from the yearbook (the symbol varies each year) and will start to play when viewed with a smart phone or tablet using the “Aurasma” app.

If you would like to see a demonstration of how this works, please refer to last year’s yearbook (available for viewing at the office), or feel free to stop by the yearbook room for a personal demonstration.

At this time, we are unable to create your video for you.
