Statement from SECC

Our hearts and voices collectively cry out for justice in the recent days following the horrific killing of George Floyd on May 25 in Minneapolis. His death comes as violence against African Americans has riveted our attention, most notably with the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery on February 23 and Breonna Taylor

COVID-19: Message from the Principal

Updated 3/20/20 Dear Mesa Grande Academy students and families.  I hope that you are all in good health and that you are taking time to care for everyone in your family. I don’t think any of us were adequately prepared for the rapid change from our normal lives

Congratulations Class of 2020!

From our very own students, parents, and teachers

“Our five year old is in her second year at MGA with Gretchen Bethurum, first in TK and now in Kindergarten.  As we have come to discover, Mrs. Bethurum, like all the staff, is extraordinary and strikes an excellent balance of love, care and education in the classroom. Although I knew Principal Riddle for many years as a vendor before my daughter attended the school I am in constant awe of how refreshingly well run this school is all while not sacrificing any sophistication of modern education needs.  In today’s world to find a quaint school with wholesome values run by honest people for an affordable price seems like a dream….don’t tell anyone or I won’t find a parking spot!!!”

“My wife and I stumbled upon Mesa Grande Academy due to unexpected circumstances at our local elementary school. We almost instantly made a life changing decision to enroll our daughter into TK. She is now in first grade and her brother will start at MGA in 2019! We are not SDA. With that said, we have been treated like family. It is an absolute blessing to watch our daughter come home from school everyday being academically challenged and overcoming those challenges!”
